Pseudo-Argument

Blog – Explain the concept of a pseudo-argument. You may go as far as to create one.

A psudo argument is a n argument that, as its name infers is not reall an argument. A pseudo-argument is created when a person (the audience),will not listen to an arguments reason because his mind is already strongly made up on the subject that you are trying to disscuss with him. He feels that his opinion is the only correct opinion to have on the subject and will defend his opinion, which he considers the only true opinion, strongly and often belligerently. Argument with these people is fitile from the start because you and him may be comparing apples to oranges in your reasons. Another reason why it is a pseudo-Argument is that the person feels so strongly that he will back it up with facts which he takes full at face value without question. In there cases reason reall wont help especially if you state a conflicting argument with him at the beginning, this will probabby just unleash a barrage of comments and cause him to get defensive.

Your initial point is good and on topic. I agree with your reasoning, but I dislike that you use "he" so often. Is it because "he" is the default gender in the English language, or is it because it is more comfortable for you to use? It is not sexist to not include women, but I just want to know why you didn't. This is an overall good blog that's straightforward, but needs a little grammatical tweaking. 4
