I thought that the speaches today were very good. Steve Dobb’s speech started of very strong with steve using his oratory skills and stage presence to gain intrest. However, I felt that his use of references to things in this class were crudely sewn into his argument making it feel cheesy, like a bad political attack add. Briana’s was a great speatch, she used a powerful person experience to appeal to the audiance’s pathos. Briana made a impressive speech by not stubling over her words, despite her talking a little to fast. Conversly Marcus’s speatch had the ghost of Willam Shatner eminating throught it, probably to increse the length of the speech, or just because he was Marcus. When I gave my speech I was a bit of a stuttering wreck fumbling even the easy parts and not maintaining an even flow of speatch. I hope I was not as bad as I appeared to myself because everything onstage seems 10 times as aquard and embarrassing. Making the requirement by the state of Indiana to do public speeking, a sadistical punisment for teens.

Don't worry Chris. It was clear that you were nervous (as was everybody else), but I think you did a great job with your speech regardless. I agree that the speeches today were very good. I also agree that "the requirement by the state of Indiana to do public speeking (is) a sadistical punisment for teens".
Chris,
I don't agree with your thoughts on Steve's speech--in fact I actually believe the opposite. I think his speech was extremely well delivered, and although the majority of the material in the speech was about success and how to get there, he tied it back to his organization quite nicely. Also, I thought your speech was just fine, so you shouldn't worry about being nervous. Everyone was! Also, I don't think requiring speech is a bad thing, because you use it all the time later in life. Good speech, Chris.
By the way, I'd like to point out a few spelling things: "speatch, speach" are supposed to be spelled speech. increse - increase. Also, "Briana" is Breanna. Anyway, not saying this to be mean, but just for future reference.
