· Blog – Is Cora Tucker successful? By what definition?

Cora was, without any shadow of a doubt, successful, and not just a little succssful either. Cora changed life for the better for all the black and minority citizens who were living in her community and many of the communities around her. She was the change she wished to see in the world, the Good Samaritan, and her brother’s keeper. She chanded everything, she defined civil rights in her community. To say by what definition was she sccussful it was clearly by her own definition (and her mother’s definition) that she was successful, which is really the only one that counts, “to thine own self be true”. By financial standards she was a failure, but I doubt that she minded or really even cared, she wasn’t in it for the money. She was successful if she could make the world better (which she did). The profound impact of this woman is clearly much more of a success than any tangable commodidy could ever be.
