english

Does language evolve? Is there a time when the language you speak changes? Explain your position.

I believe that language does evolve, as I have learned in etymology, The English language is not a static language, it changes based on how English speakers use it. The English language is a conglomerate of other languages that have been slowly changes to become that is modern English, as we speak (literally) changes are being made to the English language, the vast majority of these changes are made accidentally or by necessity, when something new is invented a word to name it must be invented also. As society changes the language that our society speaks will also change. Personally there are times when the language I speak changes, when I am around my friends I speak casually and use slang and jargon. When I am around my parents I speak with a subtly different dialect. That is why both on a individual and massive scale the English language is evolving.
